CDG738 is an 8-channel, 3-wire serial interface controlled CMOS analog matrix switch/multiplexer. The conduction resistance between switches is strictly matched and has very good flatness throughout the entire signal range.
CDG738 adopts a three wire serial interface and is compatible with SPI ™、 QSPI ™、 MICROWIRE ® Compatible with some DSP interface standards. By using the output of the input shift register DOUT, several such devices can be connected in a daisy chain form. When powered on, the internal input shift register is all zero, and all switches are in the off state.
When turned on, the conductivity of each switch is the same in both directions, making this device suitable for both multiplexing and demultiplexing applications. Each switch is connected or disconnected through a separate position, so this device can also be configured in the form of a switch matrix, where any or all of the eight switches can be closed or disconnected at any time. The input signal range can be extended to the power supply voltage range.
All channels adopt a first open and then close switch to prevent instantaneous short circuits when switching channels.
